December 2009

So here it is December 21st, and we have not made a post for a while. Well since round Halloween time. So I thought I would make a post. We have had a busy few months. I have been working like crazy. I have also been trying to figure out bridesmaids dresses, what shoes I am going to wear, when I need to order the centerpieces, how I am going to make decrotive pillars, who is going to do my cake, who is going to do my bridals, and when I will have my dress in my own hands. We have decided to do a princess spring ball theme for the wedding. With that I am letting my bridesmaids wear there prom dresses! My mom came up with the idea and I thought it was perfect for the theme that we chose. If everyone wants to dress up like they are going to a ball please do so. You don not have to though! I still have not picked out shoes yet. My bridals I still have not decided how I want to do those. I mean it is the middle of winter! Brrrr... I have a friend in Idaho that is a great photographer, and she said that she would do them, and my cousin also asked to do them as well. I just don't know. I am paying of my dress the first of January!!! I am so excited for that. My aunt is doing our cake!!! So enough bout the wedding stuff!
I had a Jarvis Christmas party, thats my mom's family. Nate had to work, and that was sad. But I had a great time just playing Bingo, eating food, laughing, talking, and even watching The Christmas Story. Best Christmas movie ever. We went to Nates family party on the Campbell side, thats Shelly's side of the family. I got to meet everyone! It was a blast!!! I had a great time. We missed you Dave and Jana, Angie and Greg. We wish you could of been there. Nate and I have all our Christmas shopping done. I have all of mine wrapped and ready to go. I want Christmas to be over. I know I know. Its a great holiday. I just want to get to January so I can be full speed getting wedding stuff done. We are spending a little part of Christmas Eve with my family in Idaho, then we are getting together with some friends, in Idaho, of ours that are all married now. We are going to play games and eat food!!! Then half of Christmas day we are spending it with my family in Idaho. Then we are going to be with Nates family the rest of Christmas day. Then its back to work. Not sure of out New Year's plans.
Well we want to wish you all a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!!! We love you all!

Wedding Date Set and Reservations Made!!!

We have decided to go with March 18, 2010!!! This date is set and is not going to change! So mark your calendars!!! Sometime this week Shelley went and got the Atrium reserved for the reception! And I have reserved the Weston Church house in Idaho for the open house on the 19th! Today I got the rest of the information to Salt Lake Temple for the sealing. Also today I got my endowment session scheduled for the 17th! This got us both so exicted that we just want it to March now!!! I am so happy that the date, the temples, the reception hall, and the church are all scheduled!!! I also got my dress!!! So now we get to move on to more important things and get the planning moving right along!!! We are still trying to find the flowers we want and trying to figure out what to do about the cake! We have a photographer for the temple, reception, and open house! We got a great deal, due to my maid of honor!!! She has the connections! I am still trtying to find someone for the bridals! We are also trying to find a good honeymoon! We want to do a a cruise. We are just trying to find the best deals for the cruise and the flights! Its a lot harder than I thought it would be. But its coming along. The next step we are going to take is getting registered at a few stores, getting the bridesmaids/maid of honor dresses picked out, and getting the mothers dresses picked out. We have started looking for places to live, and the best prices, and what we like with layouts. We are just hoping that when we go to get one we can get one that is what we want! We are now just wishing the time would start to speed up! Its going fast but we wish it would go faster!

Joys of Idaho

Nate and I got to go to Idaho finally. It was a great weekend. I showed Nate most of the places I went when I was a kid. We also looked for the new car again. We found a Ford Escape. I couldn't get it cause I need a co-signer. So we are still looking. Alex (my cousin, and Nates friend) came up Saturday to Idaho. We went to my Grandmas to fondue(sp). It was great!!! It was Nates first time to do it with oil and meat. Nate decided that we need a fondue pot now so we can do fondue all the time! I agree. Its wonderful!!! I did find my dress when I was in Idaho!!! I am so excited and wish all you could see it, but the Groom to be can't see it till the awaiting wedding day! While in Idaho Nate got to meet a lot of my friends. They all love him of course!!! My dog Meka and my nephew Hayden are both traitors. They followed Nate all over the place. Hayden would go through the house saying "my Nate" and saying "boom". Boom is the game Nate taught him. Nate even passed the brother Layne test. Layne tried to get him to go coon hunting, but I of course said no. Nate can go next time when he has clothes that will keep him warm. We had a great time!!!

Plans 'n Stuff

Ok, I figure I should make a post on here so Kati doesn't have to do all of the work... that's just not fair. So things have been going really well since the engagement. All sorts of plans have been coming together and paning out very well. We may have a reception center picked out, which is a pretty big step since Shelley had to drag us out of the house to do it! Hahaha! Just kidding mom, we loved it, and thank you for your ideas, it's all been very helpful, and you've been an amazing help. I am, however one of your sons and have to give you a hard time.
Kati's mom also made a trip down this weekend and went dress shopping with Kati on monday, and she also got to see the reception center, and a lot of cakes! Hahaha, that's the best part! As of now our biggest goal is getting Kati a new car! Our best options are small SUV's (CR-V's RAV4's and Mazda tributes are the current favorites) If anyone has any news on a good deal, please be sure to let us know! Well I think that should cover it for now.

Me-n-Nate

This is just an update of what is going on in our lives. It has been an awesome few days. We got to join Tony, Megan, Laney, Hadley, and Mom and Dad, for some conference on Sunday. Along with some great food!!! It was yummy!!! Then today I went dress shopping!!!!! It was a balst. I loved trying on those nice pretty dresses. I believe I found the one. Wish I could post the pics for you all to see but then Nate would see it to. So you all get to be surprised along with him!!!! It is gorgeous too so you all know! My mom (Lori) has written in her date book March 18th as the date, and she said it is set in stone and we can't change it anymore. So hopefully we don't change it. We want all of you there and that date I beileve fits the best for us all!!! We are both very excited! And can't wait!!! It is a big day. I feel like time is against us, now that I have something to look forward to! I think that is all I have to update you all on at this point!

We guess we will begin with the basic, stuff first. We are pretty sure most of you know how we met. But we are going to tell it. I decided to move to Salt Lake from Weston, ID, Mothers Day weekend. My cousin Alex was going to be at my sisters to help me move in. He warned me that he was going to be bringing a friend that wanted to help. Low and behold, that friend was Nate. Alex didn't warn me that Nate was going to be my future husband!!! And love of my life!!! We didn't start dating till a couple months later. That is where it just shoots off! As our link says Perfect Fit. And that is what we are.
