Bringing in the New Year.

Well Christmas is now over. Thank goodness for that! Nate got a Nook that he is very happy with. (Thanks Mommy Shelley). I got clothes and a gift card for my favorite clothing store. (Thanks Mommies) That is the big gist of what we got this year.
At the beginning of this week, my Uncle Joe got rushed to the hospital in critical condition. He was diagnosed with congestive heart failure a couple of weeks ago. He also had some pneumonia. When they got him to the hospital they hooked him up to a ventilator to get his CO2 down to where it needed to be. Then they had to give him medication to help his heart beat right. They also found that 3/4 of his lungs were full of pneumonia, and knew that he had a blood clot somewhere . They got him stabilized and moved him to IHC in Murray, Utah. They were waking him up more and more over the last few days. They were trying to take him off the heart medication but every time they did his heart would stop. They needed to get him off of it because it was a harmful medication.Yesterday, Thursday 12/30/10, they had him up in a chair and he had a heart attack. They tried to revive him for about 45 minutes, but they couldn't get him to come back. Uncle Joe is now in a better place then we are. He is the old Joe that I grew to know and love very deeply. He is watching over us. I told Nate last night that he is up there watching over our future children. This is the biggest thing that gives me comfort. Uncle Joe I love you and will miss you dearly! Save me a spot on the bench I know you are sitting on to wait for us!
We have decided to have the viewing Friday night and the funeral Saturday. We want to give time for my dad to get home and Joe's brother to also get home. They are both truck drivers.
Enough sadness... Nate and I are going to a party at one of our friends house tonight! It should be fun we are having dinner and playing board games and just hanging out. Then tomorrow I am going to get my nails done and go shopping with friends. Nate will be hanging out with a friend playing games. We want to wish you all a Happy New Year!!! May it bring great joy to all of you!!!

~In Memory of a darn nice guy...Joe Hickle~ My mom found this and I wanted to share it!
God looked around the garden, and found an empty space. He looked down upon the earth, and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you, and lifted you to rest
.
God's garden must be beautiful for He only takes the best. He knew that you were weary, and He knew you were in pain, he knew that you would never be well on the earth again. He saw the roads were getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb, so He closed your weary eyes, and whispered, "peace be thine."
